Being Jesus’ Little Girl

Part 2 — Childlike Faith

Somewhere along the journey of becoming strong, independent, and capable, many women quietly stopped being daughters.

Not daughters to their parents — but daughters before God.

We learned how to survive.
How to carry pressure.
How to provide emotionally for ourselves.
How to keep going even when exhausted.

And while strength can be necessary, sometimes we become so focused on sustaining ourselves that we forget God never asked us to carry life alone.

Faith Like Little Children

Jesus said:

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 18:3

Children trust naturally.

They do not wake up worried about provision.
They do not carry tomorrow on their shoulders.
They rest in the confidence that someone greater is caring for them.

This is the posture God invites us into.

Not childish faith — but childlike faith.

A faith that trusts.
A faith that depends.
A faith that believes God will carry what we cannot.

Be Jesus’ Little Girl

There is something deeply healing about realizing you do not always have to be the strong one.

You can rest.
You can lean on God.
You can allow yourself to be cared for by Him.

Be Jesus’ little girl.

Let Him guide you.
Let Him comfort you.
Let Him provide for you.

The world teaches women to harden themselves in order to survive. But God calls His daughters into something different — trust.

Not every burden belongs on your shoulders.

Don’t Wear Jordans and Stilettos for God

Sometimes we approach life as though we must impress God with how well we can sustain ourselves.

We wear emotional “Jordans and stilettos” — trying to appear strong, polished, self-sufficient, always capable.

But those shoes become exhausting after a while.

You were never meant to perform strength endlessly.

God is not asking you to prove yourself to Him.
He is asking you to trust Him.

Trying to provide entirely for yourself spiritually, emotionally, and mentally will eventually leave you weary.

Because self-sufficiency was never meant to replace dependence on God.

God Wants to Sustain You Too

Many women are comfortable nurturing others but uncomfortable being nurtured by God.

Yet Scripture reminds us:

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

God does not only give assignments.
He gives rest too.

He wants to sustain you:

emotionally
spiritually
mentally
financially
gently

Faith becomes lighter when you stop trying to carry everything alone.

Resting Instead of Striving

Being Jesus’ little girl means resting in His care instead of constantly striving for control.

It means:

praying before panicking
trusting before forcing
resting before exhausting yourself
remembering that God is Father, not just authority

A daughter does not have to beg for love from a good father.

She rests in it.

Closing Prayer

God,
Teach me to trust You with childlike faith.
Help me stop carrying burdens You never asked me to hold alone.
Remind me that I am Your daughter before anything else.
Teach me to rest in Your love and provision.
Amen.

You do not have to perform strength for God.
You are allowed to rest, trust, and be cared for too.
